I attended the 5-day locksmith course at OBD Company in April. What an amazing course! I highly recommend doing it. Lewis is very knowledgeable and helps in so many ways. I’ve had an amazing 4 days at OBD and have found it very informative and Lewis is very knowledgeable, I found it easily processable but struggled at the beginning of day 3 but later into the day and during day 4 all the pieces of the Jigsaw all fell into place and the course was very enjoyable and easy to learn at a steady pace I will be booking onto add on courses in the near future thank OBD, Lewis and Team 👍🏼

I have recently done 2 courses with The OBD company, 4 days locksmith course, 2 days ECU programming course, all 2 were absolutely brilliant, I can not recommend OBD company enough, from the knowledge of the trainers Lewis, and also the business advice from him. to how the courses are laid out, relaxed and welcoming with a perfect balance of written and talking with practical work too. Due to health issues I've had to leave my job on iLL health and looking to go into a trade, self employed so I can choose my own hours and take rest breaks etc when I need it, I found this company on Google search, I called Lewis and spoke to him regarding my situation and we discussed the course, and he really helped and explained the course in more depth and made me feel at ease. I've now completed the 4 day Auto Locksmith course, you certainly won't be bored on this course there is a lot of information you get and the aftercare is amazing, I still ask Lewis the random questions and he always replies and helps me. I couldn't recommend another course as much as this one. I would definitely go back and in the future I still might as there are variety of different courses which could help me in the future. Just come back from the ecu remapping course. I can genuinely say I learnt more than I thought I could in regards to remapping. Also the added bonus of carrying out ecu programming with a tool recommended to carry out extra work. I did the 4 day auto locksmith course and it was great. The extra day for the practical was much needed, I would have liked personally to have spent time using the diagnostic/programmer if possible on cars that maybe available on that day within reason so not to do anything incorrectly, maybe a small group using the machine and others picking locks then swapping over? Just a thought. Otherwise all good!

I paid nearly a grand for a four day sales pitch of a product I had no intentions of buying, I was constantly pressured into buying a machine that nobody in the business uses anywhere near as much as he made out. Highly recommend the obd company for their courses. I did the 2 day canbus and immobiliser course went in with little knowledge left with a whole new understanding how it works and how its fitted. Lewis certainly knows his stuff!This is the only place to go. What a friendly and informative place the Auto Locksmith Course at The OBD Company was to attend.Could not have asked for more, way exceeded my expectations by far. I’m really pleased that I chose Lewis and the OBD Company.Lewis is such a good teacher you feel totally at ease and engaged all the time, it almost feels like you are a friend and he is mentoring you throughout the whole learning process…When in-fact you are, which makes it feel fun and relaxed, it feels so far from the old skool teaching which I previously could not relate or get much value from. Did the Auto locksmith course here and was taught by Lewis. He has a wealth of knowledge and is up to date in his teaching. I would have liked a bit more time on the practical side of things but the main areas were covered and the class I was a part of was larger than usual which would have made it a little harder to accommodate for extra time at the practical, however questions were always welcome. Will be coming back for a couple more courses soon. Thanks Lewis and the team at The OBD Company for the pleasant experience.

Just completed the 4 day auto locksmith training course. Nothing bad can be said about my experience, communication before and during the course was excellent, water, snacks and tea/coffee all provided on site. Clean, tidy and respectable premises. Level of training was high and good quality, i learned alot. The large amount of equipment they have on site that you can use and look at is immense. Thank you, money well spent.

I recently completed the 4-day Auto Locksmith Training Course at The OBD Company in Chesterfield, and it was an incredibly valuable experience. Right from the start, the team made me feel welcome. Special shout-out to Tracey on the front desk—she was friendly, helpful, and kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Little touches like that really added to the experience.

Lewis, our instructor, was knowledgeable, approachable, and explained everything clearly. He took the time to make sure we all understood the methods and techniques before moving forward, which really helped build confidence.

The hands-on aspect of the course was a major plus. We didn’t just watch—we got stuck in, practicing key programming, lock picking, and using diagnostic tools ourselves. There was also time spent going through different tools used in the trade, along with rough guidance on costs and what kind of setup you’d need to get started. Phenomenal experience.

I joined the 2 day remapping course in August.

Lewis has truly been amazing since enquiring with him over the phone before the course to date. Extremely intelligent individual.
Tracy has also been amazing to liaise with.

When enquiring with him about the course before booking. He explained all factors which will be taken place in a excellent manner.
He reassured me that everything I wanted to learn was within the course.

So I booked the course and drove to Derbyshire from London.

We had access to our own logins for a pre learning course and a post learning course which can be reviewed as many times to help learn more and updates added on.

During the course it was great to meet him.
He had the true skills of instructing and teaching.
He explains everything clearly and in detail and assures we all understood before moving on.
He never made any feel silly whatever the questions were asked.
He would ensure that all opportunities were given for any questions and ensured everyone is paying attention so we all can bounce with each other for questions and answers.
He gave us all the opportunity to take part in the course so we all had the chance to feel we can accomplish what we are learning.
We all had the chance to take part in the practicals where he will make sure that we felt confident as ensuring that we can individually complete the tasks.
I learnt more in the course than expected.
He offered various packages at the end of the course to be able to carryout work.
Various packaged enabled me to choose what best suits me including payment plans.
I left the course satisfied with a certificate and full confidence I can carryout the work.
I have also ongoing support with Lewis and the team which has been extremely valuable.
The support has been very useful and again his communication is great.
He explains everything in great detail which helps pass his knowledge on to me and does not make me feel any question is a silly one as I was a beginner when joined and had many questions to ask.

In my honest opinion it’s the best way to get into remapping and the training is very friendly!

Just be careful what you ask for in a file, make sure you have everything asked for in full as this growing company will only do what you ask them, if you forget you have to be charged again! Which is fair enough so just a heads up!
